Industrial Automation
Solon Manufacturing is a leading manufacturer of parts and components for the automation industry. When production relies on customized parts and components for automated solutions, our products provide a reliable and functional solution to automation processes.

Pressure Switches

Solon’s electro-mechanical and pneumatic pressure switches control and monitor operating conditions and are critical in fluid or gas control. Solon offers a full spectrum of industrial pressure switches in a variety of configurations designed to suit all types of industrial automation applications.

Our low maintenance pressure switches use sensors to determine changes in pressure. Pressure switches used for sensing fluid pressure contain sensors that deform or displace proportionally to the applied pressure of the system, which makes them the ideal pressure switch for all industrial automation processes.
In addition, all Solon Manufacturing low-maintenance pressure switches are suitable for use in all intrinsically safe industrial automation systems because they are considered a “simple apparatus,” which break down as being very low power or passive devices that will not cause ignition.

Pneumatic Valve Actuators

Solon’s valve actuators are low maintenance automation components that simplify the overall functionality of your automation process. Our valve actuators simplify circuits by eliminating the need for wire shielding, transformers, and solenoids by converting air pressure into linear or rotary motion. This is valuable since it adds several key benefits to your automated system, including:
  • Flexible & compact footprint
  • Vacuum sensing element
  • High max pressure
  • 3-Way Block-and-Bleed Valve
  • PVC housing
  • Available range of 2- 3000 psi (10-100 psi for differential)

Gas Density Monitors

Solon’s gas density monitors are capable of monitoring gas density and leakage over a wide temperature range. Our gas density monitors will also automatically adjust their settings to follow temperature changes for all density levels, including mixed gases. These valuable assets will add numerous benefits to your overall automation process, other benefits include:
  • Plug & play capabilities
  • Eliminates unexpected alarms
  • 24/7 remote access
  • Condition-based monitoring
  • Identifies gas leaks

These days washers are regularly used for numerous types of industrial applications. However, Solon’s automation components washers, when paired with a bolt, stud or nut provide an optimally tight connection where high spring loads are desired. Our washers reduce bolted joint failures by maintaining the bolt preload. They are particularly useful where vibration, differential thermal expansion, relaxation and bolt creep and bolt yield are problematic. These features benefit industrial automation applications in the following ways:
  • No deformation or fatigue under normal conditions
  • Absorbs shock
  • Compensates for vibration
  • Maintains bolt preload
  • Predictable load-deflection
