As Chief Engineer at Solon Manufacturing Company, you'll lead all engineering functions across our organization-- owning product and process design, tolling and die development, equipment reliability, and continuous improvement. You'll work hands-on in both the office and on the manufacturing floor, partnering cross-functionally to solve complex challenges and ensure our operations are safe, efficient, compliant, and built to scale.
You'll guide engineering from ideation and prototyping through validation and launch, leverage ERP data and analytics to drive performance, and play an active role in strategic planning. Just as important, you'll mentor and develop a high-performing engineering team while fostering a culture of accountability, curiousity, and continuous improvement.
What We're Looking For
We're seeking an experienced engineering leader with a strong background in metal stamping and manufacutring who combines technical expertise with practical, people-list leadership.
You'll bring:
- A bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Industrial, or related engineering discipline
- 10+ years of engineering experience in a manufacturing or metal stamping environment, including leadership responsibility
- Deep knowledge of stamping operations, press equipment, and tool & die design
- Proficiency in SolidWorks and experience working within ERP systems
- A hands-on, problem-solving mindset with the ability to lead cross-function teams
- Experience with Lean manufacturing, continuous improvement, or Six Sigma principles
- Strong communication skills and the ability to coach and develop others
